LLMD and her Belles
Love, Love Me Do, LLMD in short, offers wedding ideas and inspirations for brides and grooms. We don’t just stop there. Like salads and mosaic, we are an electic mix of ideas from all over the world. Simply because, weddings are universal but yet, the styles are so different. It is from the difference that we hunt for the unique, the awesome and help you to create a wedding you proudly call your own.
Wedding stuffs have gotten her really excited since the day her husband proposed. A practical person, she sees wedding as an event that bridges two separate individuals into one, from “I” into “us”. It celebrates two individuals who are powered by love and courage to put aside each one’s ego to allow an union, to create a bigger self of “us”.
Given its significance, wedding is thus an occasion that deserves attention, time and energy. Unfortunately, the present society has converted wedding to become a mere product of commercialism. It no longer carries the flavor of self-expression. In her drive to promote the public’s awareness, she eventually wrote “The Wedding Manual”, an e-book dedicated to making weddings an expression of love between the couple by exercising independence in judgment and freedom of choice. She is also very conscious of the fact that married life after the wedding is perhaps the hardest part of a whole marriage.
Love, Love Me Do thus became a site that dishes inspirations and advice for brides and grooms all over the world, to prepare them for both the most memorable wedding and a blissful married life.
Heya! Thanks for wanting to know more about us. I’m Ilane, recent transplant to the bright lights of Hollywood. Nope, I am not an aspiring actress but am every bit as idealistic. While planning for my nuptials here, I re-connected with Clarie (my JC mate whom I had not spoken with for 8 years) who coincidentally was planning hers as well. Over countless online messages, we traded gossip, life ideals AND wedding ideas. Planning for a wedding in US is a full time job. There is no one size fits all package and every vendor from photography to attire to transportation has to be sourced. Sure, it is more troublesome but at the end of the day, I am going to have the most awesome and personal wedding.
Clarie is an offbeat bride and in Singapore where everything is presented on a platter, it’s not easy to be one. So I became a loyal fan when she published The Wedding Manual and set up this blog. I love to write and has always dreamt of being a columnist, novelist or even *wink wink* a famous blogger. When Clarie invited me to co-author her blog, I leapt at the chance. I hope to bring you all the latest wedding ideas from US and show how easy they are to replicate so you can add that little touch of magic to your wedding.
Yay to all offbeat brides!
