Colorful Wedding Dress
I’m on a roll tonight. It’s 5am and my eyes are still wide open. Surfing around, I came back to our lovely website and read my previous post. I fell in love with Sarah Jessica Parker’s and Natalie Portman’s gowns all over again.
We are great advocators of adventurous brides but as wedding details and decor get more and more colorful, the traditional white dress has remained just that. A perception ingrained in us from childhood, it is hard to change years of conditioning. So while I am a huge fan of Offbeat Brides, I must admit I lack the spunk to wear a purple period costume on my big day.
Offbeat brides have a knack for bright colors like red, black and rainbow colored gowns. If I just want a little dip in the pool, it’s a hard choice between loud colors and white. For brides that want to cross the color divide, is there no hope? Not so, neutrals and pastels are your answer. I found some pretty brides who took the leap, so I shall let the pictures speak for themselves. Click on them for more wedding details.

Photography by Daria Bishop. The dress is described as burnished metal. I take that to be a silvery grey. Can I say I really really love her hairpiece and makeup?
Tell us, would you ever go for a colored wedding dress?
